Shame On Me.

What the heck? I blog a few times and then I just give up?? What's up with that? My last blog was in February, and now it is June! A hiatus after a few entries? Not cool.  I don't know what happened exactly and why I stopped blogging, but I want to get back into it!  I keep reading blogs, and I keep coming up with ideas on what to write about, so I just need to sit down, take action, and start blogging again!  Who starts a blog, writes a few entries, then gives up?  I guess me.

A lot of things have happened since February. The biggest is that I moved! After being away at college for four years, moving back home was just not the same. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my family, but I wanted to be on my own as well. I moved in with two of my good friends, and a new monster cat named TimTim, and I could not be happier!  I live so much closer to work, which was another factor into my decision to move. My commute used to be a nightmare but now it's a piece of cake! And, my roadrage has slightly decreased.

So to the dear people that have been following and asking me about my blog, I assure you I'm coming back.  I'm currently creating a list of the things I want to talk about and what I want to do with this blog, so stay tuned!!!

7 Reasons Why I Love My MacBook.

This past May, I woke up one morning and my Dell Inspiron laptop, that I had since before I began college, took a small dive off my nightstand.  Not too worried, I rolled over and went back to sleep.  I mean, my laptop had taken harder falls before, like off the top of a lofted bed, and no damage.  When I went to use my computer later that morning, I was horrified to find that my screen was completely damaged!  So, instead of spending my money on getting my old, clunky, slow computer fixed, I decided to purchase myself a MacBook, and it's the best decision I have ever made!!
My background is a picture from Colorado last year

7 Reasons Why I Love My MacBook.
1.  It's so pretty!  I love that it's white, and I love even more that I put a purple case on it.  Everything about this laptop is so simple looking, from the keys to the disc drive, and simple is pretty.
2.  Everything runs seamlessly.  I have yet to encounter a problem.  When I first had my Dell, the whole system crashed about a month after getting it, and I spent two miserable days on the phone with someone in another country trying to fix my computer.  All of my accessories, from my camera to my printer, are compatible with my computer.
3.  Less prone to viruses.  People say that Mac's don't get viruses, but this is a misconception.  They can get a virus, but it is way less likely.  I have yet to have a need to run any type of anti-virus software.  Tonight, my dad had me run a virus scanner on his Windows laptop (which is newer than mine) because the computer is suddenly running slow and doing a few odd things.
4.  User Friendly!  Before buying my own, my interaction with MacBooks were rare.  I've used a Windows computer since about third grade, but it did not take me any time to learn how to use my Mac!  I love the dock where all my programs are, so they are easy to find.  My desktop isn't clogged with millions of icons.  There are great tricks with the mouse pad that make using multiple screens and programs at a time a breeze!
5.  The new App store for Mac's.  The Apple Store just released their App store for Mac's, and there are so many great programs on there, and many great free ones!  I downloaded a great photo design software, Image Tricks, and I have been able to edit all my photos for this page, and I hope to keep discovering more about the program.  I also have a cute program called Swackett, which tells you the weather, and what type of clothes you should wear based on the weather that day!
6.  Photo Booth!  You've seen the funny pictures people have taken on Facebook.  You know you love it.
7.  Battery Power.  I can charge my MacBook and not have to charge it again for a few days because the battery lasts so long!  I also just read that batteries last about five years, which is fabulous.  With my Dell, I went through two batteries and a power cord.

Although Mac's are a bit more expensive than laptops that run Windows, it is definitely worth the investment.  I know this MacBook will last a very long time, and I am grateful about that.  I really wish that I had this laptop in college, because I know I would have been super happy with it, and probably would have brought it to class.  I'm just an average computer user, so I don't do too much fancy stuff on, and I love it.  I have never loved a computer before like I love this!  This is most definitely a Love It!

nom nom nom!

This is a LOVE IT! If you are lucky enough to live near a Cosi (there are only two in Connecticut), or willing to make the drive, this soup is a MUST!  This is their Tomato Basil Aurora Soup (more commonly referred to as Tomato Basil), and it is just fabulous!  There is a Cosi near my work, so I find myself getting the soup at least once a week for lunch.  I have got some of my coworkers and my friends hooked!  "Simply sweet tomato, fresh basil & a touch of cream," as their website describes it.  It has chunks of tomato in it, which is my favorite part.  It comes with your choice of bread, and I always opt for the whole grain.  Dipping this bread in the soup is a must!  The soup is perfect for these unbelievably cold, snowy days, but I am pretty sure that I'll be eating it year round!  I just had it for dinner tonight, and I had to share it with you cause it's just so delicious!!

Cosi also has some other delicious foods, such as their Greek Salad, and their ever-so-cute Tableside S'Mores.  A Gotta Have It for me is their Chicken Tinga Sandwich, which my best friend had a few weekends ago and said was delish, and their Hummus & Fresh Veggies Sandwich looks very satisfying!  Mmmmm perhaps one of these will be my lunch tomorrow...?

Let the blogging begin!

Remember when snow days were awesome when you were little?  Waking up early to check the tv, waiting to see your town's name on the list of schools that were closed?  Even in college, it was rare to have no classes, but it was still awesome.  But this year, it has just been ridiculous!  I work a half hour away from home, and the snow has made everything miserable!  I don't think I have worked a normal week yet because there has pretty much have had a storm since Christmas!  From my commute taking hours, to having to close the office because of the weather, it has been just terrible.  Even some of my patients, who are still in school, are sick of being out of school!  When will it end??

So today is another snow day for me.  With all of these snow days, I should have been blogging up a storm!  But I've been going back and forth in my head with what I want to do with my blog.  I've been working on a layout, but I am not completely happy with it yet.  I keep debating what I should write about as well.  Since the start of this blog, I have bought things that I want to write about!  So what's the hold up?

I finally am getting my butt into gear and starting this blog.  I want this to be something that I enjoy doing, not something that is going to be a hassle.  I want to write again, I love it.  So here we go!!

I want to talk first about my favorite mascara, The Falsies by Maybelliene.  Let me explain, I am constantly trying new products.  I am always looking for better products, especially mascara.  I feel as if I have tried every drugstore mascara under the sun ever since I started wearing mascara.  But, this mascara I've bought more than one of (which is rare).  It gives my lashes length, curl and thickness.  This is the first mascara that I have found that does all three!  I use this Mascara in Blackest Black.  Whenever I buy mascara, I want the blackest that I can get because I feel that it really makes my lashes stand out.  This is definitely a love it.

essie My Private Cabana, Rimmel Steel Gray, essie Shop til I drop
I want to switch gears a little and talk about something else right now ... nail polish!  These three nail polishes are a definite like it right now.  Recently Ulta opened up near my house, and they had a huge selection of essie colors, and when I first went there I saw Shop Til I Drop, and I couldn't get it off the brain.  So of course I had to go back and buy it, and I also bought My Private Cabana. I was craving some pastel colors to add to my large collection of nail polishes.  The gray in the middle I have had for a little bit, but I am still loving it.  I was dying to get a gray nail polish, and this one was spot on to what I wanted.

Here are the colors on my nails.  I had to use three coats for the essie colors because they are sheer.  I don't normally like doing that, but this nail polish doesn't look too thick on my nails.

Along with my nail polish purchases, I had to buy essie's Good To Go! because it claimed that it was the fastest drying top coat.  And, it was true to it's word!  After I painted my nails for this photo, I used the top coat, and then after about five minutes I did my laundry and the dishes, and no smudges!  I am super impatient when it comes painting my nails, and this dries them so quick!  I don't know how I have survived so long without it!

Right now, my gotta have it is a black eyeliner that stays on all day!! I've tried so many that have claimed to be waterproof, smudge proof, etc, but I have yet to find one that stays on all day.  I am hoping to stumble upon that asap.

So that's it!  My first blog!  I am still feeling this out, but I hope you have enjoyed what I have so far!  I'm looking forward to my next post, and I hope you are too :)

This is the start of something good...

Years ago, when I was in high school I had a blog, which was filled with details of my life.  I stopped writing on it, and have not even thought about blogging again until recently.  I’ve been looking at blogs for some time now, and I kept thinking that I should start one up.  But, what should I write about?  I don’t want to write about my day to day life, because really, my life isn’t all that exciting.  I don’t have a passion for things like fashion, or have artistic talents, or anything along those lines.  So what’s left to talk about?

And then it hit me!  My good friend and I are constantly trying new products, remedies, foods, wines, etc. so why not start a blog about that!

I especially love trying new makeup products.  Ever since I was young I have always been fascinated by makeup, and I’m always looking for new products and trying them out.  So why not write about what I have been doing for years?
And as for the name “Like It, Love It, Gotta Have It”, I know it’s the sizes of ice cream at Coldstone, but yuckkk I don’t like Coldstone!  I had this stuck in my head from Aziz Ansari’s Stand Up, “Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening”.  His comedy is hilarious, and I’ve listened to this album so many times, I can recite it (is that odd?  hehe).  But anyway, this line was stuck in my head, and I felt that it was a perfect title for my blog!
So I hope to get this kick started soon!! I already have a few things in mind to talk about, so I am excited for this!
For now, here is what it’s like living in New England.
So Much Snow!
